knitting inspiration

Now that the weather has finally cooled down, I’m itching to knit and crochet! I’ve been putzing around the interwebs, looking for things I want to make. And yes, the list keeps growing!

I’m also looking forward to finding knitting/crocheting buddies. I know it sounds like granny-talk, but anyone want to form a knitting circle? Or, if you’re in Dallas, want to go knit at the Shabby Sheep in Uptown with me? They have a ‘hang out and knit’ time Thursday nights till 8, where you can shop, meet other knitters, and work on your yarn projects. It’s also a good time to get help on a project you’re working on. Any takers?

In the meantime, I wanted to share some of the projects that have made it onto my ‘must-knit’ list. Perhaps I should start a pinboard for this…

Just in time for Halloween! Pattern found here.

This lightweight cowl is perfect for Autumn! Pattern found here.

Love how cozy these felted slippers look. Pattern found here.

This is technically a summer-weight sweater, but it’s so pretty. I bet you could even layer a colorful long-sleeve under it when you wear it in the Fall. Pattern found here.

What are you looking forward to making this Fall?

Those little pumpkns are so cute! And I really like that white cowl, too.

I just wanted to add, I fully agree with @Katelyn about knitting groups being good for the soul! I love my Sunday group; they are such a lovely group of women and I look forward to this time all week:)

Those knit pumpkins are just the cutest. Now, I need to learn how to knit. Or maybe I can find a similiar crochet pattern…hmmmm… :)

The french press felted slippers are the best! I make them for gifts all the time and they always receive rave reviews.
If I lived closer I would absolutely join a knitter’s circle! Knitting with others is good for the soul :)

Oh yay, good to know those felted slippers are great gifts. Hmm…maybe I’ll make some for Christmas presents this year! And yeah, knitting with others just sounds like a fun bonding thing!
