horses + happiness
This week has been full of little bits of happiness.
Happiness…like getting a yellow watermelon from our farm share. It’s called a Heirloom Orangeglo.
Anyone else try this before? What are your thoughts? It tastes like cantaloupe and pear to me.
Happiness…like finding a box full of craft supplies in the mail. My friend Ashmo moved, and bequeathed me with the contents of her craft drawer. I know it’s kind of dorky, but I’m super excited about this.
Happiness…like the horses nearby. We live in new development surrounded by fields. We have cows on one side of the neighborhood, and a field for horses on the other. I’ve been itching to take pics of both animals, and finally got my chance the other day.
This guy was probably sad I didn’t bring any carrots.
Maybe next week, I’ll get around to taking pics of the cows!
just had some yellow watermelon this weekend from some friends we know that sell at the farmers market here…pretty sweet…it does taste more honeydew/cantaloupe with watermelon texture…my mind tells me it should taste like a pineapple right before eating it.
It plays tricks on the mind! Do your friends grow it themselves for the farmer’s market?
Oh these pics are beautiful! I volunteered at a therapeutic riding center once and fell in love with horses! Can I come out with you the next time we’re over?
