the rope & cord roundup
Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was spent between doing stuff for the new house, hanging out with friends, and posing in a photoshoot for the first time (yup…I think I was pretty awkward. Pics to come!). I also spent a large part of the weekend making this 4-foot rope rug. Stay tuned for a post and tutorial.
Because I spent a lot of the weekend working on the rug, I’ve got rope and cord on the brain. That’s why today’s roundup is focused on things you can make with it. I’m hoping to make the cord basket on the bottom-right soon. It’d sure come in handy for holding sewing supplies and magazines!

Aw thanks! I made it for a friend’s wedding gift, so that’s partly why I had so much more patience. I’ll have to say it was a workout, crocheting the rug!

Love the idea of a cord basket. I’ve got a ton of yarn that I could probably adapt to something like this. It’d be a great way to use up all that yarn AND gain some extra storage containers for around the apartment!
Yeah, I always hate having those little scraps of yarn and fabric! You don’t want to throw them out, but they take up so much space.
