christmas weekend roundup
Happy Tuesday! How was your Christmas weekend? Ours was chock
full of eating and carols. It was nice to celebrate Christmas by going to church on Sunday, but really strange that most everything was closed (Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, etc). I guess that’s how it used to be back in the day on Sundays! Lucky for us, Chinese restaurants are always open on holidays, so we still got to chow down with a Taiwanese breakfast!

Uncle Dan cutting the 19-pound prime rib for Christmas dinner. It was delish!
three
Tim and Dai, getting ready for family caroling and Dai’s yearly solo of O Holy Night.
four
Saba, my aunt’s cat. We took over the family room where he sleeps, so he had nowhere to go. Poor kitty even spent some time on the floor in front of the oven.
five
Karens made a cookie that looked like Mochi.
six
More baked goods! These were sugar cookies with a dash of nutmeg and sweetened with maple syrup.
seven
Jeff and I decorated this gingerbread house. We cheated with box gingerbread, but shh. I ended up tearing up half the house and eating it creating havoc that Jeff calls Hurricane Esther.
eight
My cousin Janet makes Midnight Cookies every year. They’re yummy meringues with chocolate chips. mmm sugar.
Well that’s it for the weekend roundup. For everyone that’s off this week, enjoy. For the rest of us who are back at work, I hope the office is pretty dead!
