e for emmy

Our niece, Emmy is now 5 months old (well, she was 4 months when the pictures above were taken), and I’ve only gotten to see her once. Sadly, work and other things have prevented Jeff and I from making the trip to Norman to see her, DK, Amyie and Dozer.

Doesn’t mean I can’t send my love, right? So I present to y’all: the ones-E. And that’s E for Emmy. I had been wanting to make one since seeing this tutorial on Just Dandy’s blog. And just so happens that I recently found the supplies for $3 at the etsyDallas’s Supply Me sale.

The canvas?

It was a little hard to find an ‘E’ that I liked, but once I did, I printed it out in reverse so that when I sewed it on, it would be facing the right way.

The steps were then to adhere fusible interfacing to the flowered fabric, then sew it onto the onesie. Yup, another hand sewing project. Took a bit of time, but still looks legit.
I’m hoping it fits Emmy. According to Amyie, she’s wearing clothes that are meant for babies 2 months older! But what I’d really like is to see her in person soon!

aw it’s super cute and yes it fits her! She’s really “tall/long” for her age group so she’s long enough for 6-9 month onesie, yours was perfect and so adorable! thanks!!!
